
The ADDY® Awards are the nation's largest advertising competition. Each year the competition begins at the local level with the 210 AAF clubs across the country. Entries must first be submitted in a local competition to be eligible for the ADDY® process. The local winners advance to one of the 14 regional district competitions, and District winners advance to the national finals. The ADDY® national judging is held in conjunction with the AAF National Conference; June 2-5th 2012 in Austin, TX.

Susan McMichael
Susan McMichael has over 25 years of advertising experience at agencies including Ogilvy & Mather Chicago and DMB&B St. Louis.
She has helped create TV, radio and print advertising for M&M/Mars, McDonalds, Anheuser-Busch, Sears, American Express, NutraSweet and Purina.
Until launching her own freelance copywriting and consulting business in 1998, Susan was Vice-President/Creative Director at DMB&B St. Louis.
Before joining DMB&B, Susan was Vice-President/Group Creative Director at Centra Advertising where she worked on Purina Dog Chow, Puppy Chow, Energizer, Beechnut Baby Foods, Ralston cereals and Keystone Ski Resort.
Susan’s work has won national and international awards, and one of her magazine campaigns was featured in Communication Arts Advertising Annual. She has judged numerous ADDY competitions, as well as Communication Arts Ad Annual.
By far, her most unusual assignment was at her first agency in Louisville, Ky. where she was once tasked with crafting names and tent card copy for a line of caskets.
Jeff Oeth
Focused on both the details and the big picture, Jeff Oeth is a designer of meaningful experiences. Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, he earned his degree in graphic design at UW-Milwaukee and helped create award-winning campaigns over several years with Midwest design agencies.
His current focus is to promote sustainable prosperity with positive impacts on communities, society and our environment. This pursuit has led him to publish a blog (www.modernevolution.com) on design for sustainability and has landed him a role as Art Director/Sr. Designer at Alex Bogusky's FearLess Cottage in Boulder, Colorado.
Ted Walzl
Ted Walzl is the founder and creative director of The Verb Agency, a unique agency with the ability to tap other top advertising professionals to build the right team for each project for creatively progressive clients.
Ted founded the Verb Agency on the idea that a brand can and should engage you almost anywhere – on TV, in a magazine, on your computer, on your phone, or on the sidewalk in front of you. This is why he always stays tuned into the next big advertising trend without sacrificing the tried and true forms of communication.

Ted is active in the advertising community and is a board member of the Pittsburgh Advertising Federation. Ted earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from La Roche in 1996. When not living the dream of an ad executive, Ted enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring the outdoors and pursuing the art of fly fishing.
